Did you know that you can upgrade your MCA Master 200gt Certificate of Competence 150nm Limit to an unlimited sea area in just 6 days?
Also, did you know that you can complete your Yachtmaster Ocean / IYT/MCA Master of Yachts Unlimited CoC with us either in the UK or in Palma de Mallorca?
The IYT Master of Yachts Unlimited Course is just 6 days and includes the Passage Plan, Practical Sights and Final written / Oral Exam. Yes, the exam is included in the 6 days and within the price! So there is no need to worry about trying to book an exam months down the line after completing the course.
The IYT Master of Yachts Unlimited Certificate of Competence is an MCA approved course / license, commercially endorsed and accepted for use on MCA Red Ensign Code Vessels, Large Yachts and Workboats.
Some say that this course is the equivalent or an alternative to the RYA Yachtmaster Ocean… and they are correct, to an extent. In our opinion, this course and qualification is a better alternative as you will also be able to work as Officer of the Watch 500gt on Large Yachts.
In order to progress from MCA Officer Of The Watch (OOW) 3000gt to MCA Chief Mate 3000gt, you are required to complete this course. Also, if you would like to achieve the MCA Master 200gt CoC Unlimited Sea Area, you should also complete this course.
Many people choose to progress to the IYT Master of Yachts Unlimited Course having previously completed their IYT Master of YAchts Limited CoC which is an MCA approved STCW Commercially Endorsed alternative to the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore.
