Our 5 day STCW Basic Safety Training is IMO Flag State Approved and comprises of the following modules:

-STCW Proficiency in Security Awareness
If you have previously completed your STCW Basic Safety Training with an IMO Flag State approved training provider you will need to update the STCW Personal Survival Techniques & STCW Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting modules every 5 years. The good news is that it doesn’t matter as to when your certificates expired. So, if you took a break from working at sea and now want to get back up to date, that’s fine!
We offer STCW Basic Refresher / Update Training over 1.5 days most months for just 595euros in Palma de Mallorca.
FAQ: All my certificates have expiry dates on them, can I still attend the refresher training?
Yes, you can! Only Personal Survival Techniques and Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting expire. However, it is worth noting that your certificate after attending the refresher course will only make reference these two STCW modules and not the others. Some port state authorities may question as to why your other ones have expiry dates on them and this could cause you some issues in a minority of places. The truth is though, there should not be any expiry dates on your STCW Elementary First Aid, Personal Social & Safety Responsibilities or Proficiency in Security Awareness.
Our facilities are new (2023) and state of the art with a multi level fire training simulator and swimming pool on the same location. Unlike some other training providers on the island, you will not need to travel to different locations for different modules of this course. They all take place in the same facility which is just a short 10 minute taxi ride away from Palma Centre.
